Rodong Sinmun Slams Lee Myung Bak's Anti-DPRK "Human Rights" Campaign

Pyongyang November 19 (KCNA) -- Traitor Lee Myung Bak of south Korea was reported to have again talked rubbish that "he was concerned about the human rights performance in the north" and "it should open its door" during his recent junket to a country. Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: What he uttered about "human rights record in the north" even in a foreign country is nothing but disgusting remarks made by a confrontation maniac. The nation can never pardon Lee who made such reckless remarks defaming the dignified social system in the DPRK, the commentary notes, and goes on: It is none other than Lee who turned south Korean society into a tundra of human rights and democracy in the whole period of his office by invoking fascist laws like "the Security Law" after restoring the repressive machines and methods dating back to the era of military dictatorship. The puppet conservative authorities are becoming evermore undisguised in fascist violation of human rights with their office drawing to a close. By kicking up the confrontation racket not only at home but abroad, the tight-cornered Lee seeks to divert public attention elsewhere and exercise an influence on the "presidential election." In a nutshell his recent malignant mud-slinging at the north abroad is no more than the last-ditch effort of the confrontation manic to get rid of the abyss of ruin through provocations to the DPRK. Lee's anti-DPRK "human rights" campaign is an intolerable insult and a grave provocation to the best socialist system of Korean style in the world in which people are regarded as masters of the country and all their rights are guaranteed. The south Koreans and all other compatriots will never tolerate the foolish efforts of the Lee group to seek a way out in escalating the confrontation and intensifying the fascist suppression. |
