Chabdar Stoimenov, chairman of the Central Council of the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize diverse events and carry special write-ups on media on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the demise of Kim Jong Il.

Present at the ceremony were figures of political parties, organizations and organs including the Bulgarian Communist Party, Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union, Bulgarian Communists Union, Kim Il Sung Library in Sofia, Bulgarian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association and Juche idea followers.

The DPRK ambassador to Bulgaria and an embassy official were present there on invitation.
