The statement said that the work was published at a time when socialism was frustrated in various countries and the international reactionary forces talked about "the end of socialism".

Kim Jong Il clarified the cause of the frustration of socialism in some countries, the advantages of Korean style socialism and the orientation and ways for defending the socialist cause, it said, and went on:

Besides this, he authored a lot of works, dealing telling blow at the vicious anti-socialist moves of the imperialists and the reactionaries.

The justice of the socialist cause has been more clearly proved by the present situation in which Korean style socialism is making a long drive whereas capitalism is facing an inescapable crisis and bankruptcy.

The Korean people will further glorify the ideological and theoretical achievements made by Kim Jong Il and surely register successes in accomplishing the socialist cause under the wise leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
