Pomminryon is a nationwide organization involving various groups of compatriots in the north and south of Korea and abroad desirous of national reunification.

The organization has made a signal contribution to the effort for great national unity and Korea's reunification.

It brought the Three Charters for National Reunification advanced by President Kim Il Sung and the Five-Point Policy for the Great Unity of the Nation put forward by leader Kim Jong Il home to fellow countrymen and encouraged them to implement the Juche-oriented line and policies of national reunification.

Thanks to its active role, various pro-reunification events, including the Pan-National Rally, took place with every August 15 (day of Korea's liberation) as an occasion and the three-way solidarity has been strengthened among pro-reunification organizations in the north, south and abroad.

The emergence of the June 15 era of reunification, based on the idea of "By our nation itself", marked an epochal turn in the activities of Pomminryon.

It resulted in successful holding of joint reunification events of the nation and meetings of workers, peasants, youth and students, women and all other strata of people from the north and the south of Korea, which displayed the Koreans' will for independent national reunification.

Pomminryon will always take the lead in the drive to hasten the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the banner of "By our nation itself".
