The vision of the strategic plan is to improve and expand quality as well as quantity services to the beneficiaries by strengthening the capacity of the Red Cross Society and the community to build safer and resilient community thereby contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development.

The strategic aim of the plan is to save lives, protect livelihoods and strengthen recovery from different disasters and crises by enhancing disaster preparedness and emergency response capacity focusing on disaster prevention and mitigation.

Its another aim is to prevent different diseases, continue to put great efforts on dissemination of first aid and health promotion education and effectively respond to health emergencies and improve ecological environment and environmental sanitation, thus ensuring that all people enjoy healthy and safe living.

It is also to further strengthen social reconciliation and cohesion, ensure full display of the spirit of helping each other and make all of them lead an independent and dignified life, through dissemination of the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and humanitarian values. And it is to alleviate as early as possible misfortunes and sufferings of the separated families caused by national division, and protect and defend human rights and dignity, democratic rights of the overseas compatriots.

The DPRK Red Cross Society stressed the need to further strengthen its capacity and strengthen regional and international cooperation in order to smoothly implement the strategic plan.
