Otete Gaston Mboyo, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Democratic Congo, was elected chairman of the committee in Democratic Congo.

The committees decided to organize diverse events such as remembrance meeting, photo exhibition and film show on the first anniversary of Kim Jong Il's demise.
