Leader Kim Jong Il Remembered in Bangladesh

Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, and M. Jahangir Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, separately made public statements between Nov. 16 and 18 on the occasion of the first anniversary of the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. In the statements they said that they were looking back with deep emotion upon the undying feats performed by Kim Jong Il for the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence with his outstanding wisdom and through his ideological and theoretical activities and unique political caliber on the first anniversary of his demise. They noted that Kim Jong Il, fully possessed of the noblest qualifications and personality as a great man, wisely led the anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle and socialist construction under the banner of the Juche idea, Songun idea. The demise of Kim Jong Il was a great loss not only to the Korean people but also to the world progressives, they said, adding: He, a close friend of the Bangladeshi people, will live forever in the hearts of all of us. The army and people of the DPRK will achieve greater successes in building a thriving nation and the drive for national reunification under the Songun leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un. |
