Minju Joson Sunday observes in a bylined commentary: The dialogue held on the theme of "cooperation for safer Asia-pacific region: tasks and their fulfillment" was a product of the Lee Myung Bak group's crafty plot to internationalize the confrontation with compatriots.

The commentary went on: Already a few days before the opening of the dialogue the group claimed that it would focus on the discussion of "diplomatic and security challenges caused by the north's social system." Conservative media hyped "nuclear and missile threat from the north," asserting that the north's issues were inseparable from the agenda of the projected dialogue." As a matter of fact, the group left no means untried to focus the attention of the participants on those issues, vociferating about "threat from the north" in its whole course.

At the end of the dialogue it went the lengths of taking its participants to Panmunjom and the second fleet of the puppet navy where warship "Cheonan" is on display, stoking bitterness towards the north. This cannot be construed otherwise than disgusting hysteria of the confrontation maniacs.

The desperate ruckus kicked up by the group to turn the dialogue into a platform for international cooperation in the anti-north campaign was aimed at justifying its bankrupt "policy towards the north" and escalating the confrontation with compatriots with the help of outside forces.

As facts prove, the south Korean regime remains unchanged in its ulterior purpose of pursuing confrontation with compatriots. It is becoming evermore undisguised in its moves with its office drawing to a close. It is by no means fortuitous that south Koreans are staging mass actions against Lee, determined to choose "peace and reunification oriented president" through the forthcoming election.

The Lee group's increased reliance on foreign forces and frantic moves to escalate the confrontation would only precipitate its doom.
