The article said the relations between the supreme commander and military families in the DPRK are those between a father and his children in which they share their destinies full of kinship. It referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il showed loving care for Pak Yong Chol and his seven other brothers who are officers of the Korean People's Army.

It noted that in the subsequent period the country witnessed appearance of many families with several brothers and sisters including Ri Jang Ung and his seven other brothers and sisters, Ri Jong Un and his five other brothers and Ri Chong Song and his four other brothers, all serving in the army.

It recalled that Kim Jong Il highly praised Om Pok Sun's family of military personnel who were upholding the Songun leadership of the Party with arms and showed warm fatherly love for them, adding that countless are such families in the DPRK.
