Kim Jong Il's assumption of the top post of the KPA was a historic event of great significance in defending and glorifying socialism of the DPRK, he said.

Toward the end of the last century the allied forces of imperialism became evermore desperate in their moves to stifle the DPRK with the collapse of socialism in the east European countries as a momentum. But the DPRK responded to it with thunderbolt-like declaration of proclaiming a semi-war state and quitting NPT, he noted, adding:

Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il formulated the Songun politics as the basic political mode under socialism and put forward the service personnel of the KPA as the driving force of revolution, further consolidating socialism in the DPRK.

Today Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un is invariably carrying forward his Songun cause.

We extend firm support and solidarity to the just cause of Korean people advancing under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, while eternally holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem.
