Present at the talks from the WPK side were Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK, and other officials of the C.C., the WPK including Vice-Department Directors Ri Yong Sik and Kim Song Nam.

Present there from the CPC side were Li Jianguo, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the CPC and vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, Wang Jiarui, head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., the CPC, Wang Xiaohui, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the C.C., the CPC, Liu Jieyi, deputy head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., the CPC, Yao Zengke, vice-minister of Supervision, other members of the delegation and Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.

At the talks the CPC side informed the WPK side of the proceedings of its 18th National Congress.

Both sides exchanged views on the issue of boosting the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and countries and matters of mutual concern.

The talks proceeded in a comradely and friendly atmosphere.
