November 29, 1945 President Kim Il Sung, founder of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK, gave origin to the development of the air and anti-air force of the Korean People's Army by founding the first air force of new Korea immediately after its liberation.

An event was held here to mark the day on Thursday.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Kyong Hui, Kim Kyok Sik, Pak To Chun, and other leading officials, officials of the party, armed forces, power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and service personnel of the KPA and merited innovators.

The meeting began with ceremony of the guard of honor of the KPA air and anti-air force.

The DPRK flag and the flag of the Supreme Commander were raised.

The march-past of the guard of honor was followed by the well organized formation change and spirited and peculiar rhythm and revolutionary songs of the KPA military band and the female brass band of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces which showed revolutionary spirit and aspect of the KPA air force.

Then the demonstration performance started by players of the Pyongyang Air Club and art flying by the flying corps of the air and anti-air force.

Radio-controlled model gliders showed colorful artful movements.

They skillfully performed speed flying, 360 degrees revolution and endurance flight. The sky was spectacular by the beautiful smoke screens after the gliders.

Collective apex falling and collective acrobatic falling were performed by male and female parachuters.

The flights decorated the sky with vapor trail with such art flying as horizontal, rising, falling and turning.

The event came to a brilliant conclusion with the military music by the military band of the KPA and the brass band of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces.
