The National Coordinator of a Brazilian party, Ibrahim Mantu, chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association who is member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria, and the director of a Slovak company were elected chairmen of the remembrance committees.

The remembrance committees decided to hold diverse political and cultural events praising the exploits of Kim Jong Il.
