Present there were officials of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea including Kim Song Nam, vice department director of its Central Committee, Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.

Laid before the tower was a wreath in the name of the delegation.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers who courageously fought against the armed invasion by the imperialists after their entry into the Korean front. Then they went round the tower.

Li Jianguo wrote in the visitor's book that the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship would grow stronger.
