Bonakele Majuba, secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party and chairman of the South African Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People, said this at the inaugural ceremony of the South African committee for remembering Kim Jong Il on November 23.

At the ceremony the chairman of the Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism of South Africa said Kim Jong Il's life was the one of an iron-willed brilliant commander who foiled the unprecedented military pressure and economic blockade of the imperialist powers by dint of Songun.

The chairman of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa said Kim Jong Il firmly defended Korean socialism from the moves of the U.S. and the West to economically and militarily stifle it.
