New Documentary Shown in DPRK

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) - A new Korean documentary film "Fatherly General Was together with Workers" was shown at the People's Palace of Culture on Saturday. Watching the film were senior party, state and army officials including Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim and Choe Ryong Hae, and officials of the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions. The film makes an epic representation of the leadership exploits of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, who put deep trust in the Korean working class and provided an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country by finding himself among the working people throughout the period of his revolutionary leadership. The film shows that Kim Jong Il, who had been together with President Kim Il Sung on the long journey of field guidance since his early years, brought up the working class to be the vanguard force boundlessly faithful to the party and the leader and core unit for building socialism. The film also vividly represents the popular trait of Kim Jong Il, who led the working class step by step in their efforts to create epoch-making miracles and innovations such as the completion of a large-scale long-distance belt conveyer in Unryul, a 10 000-ton press in Ryongsong and a gigantic oxygen separator in Rakwon. The film portrays him visiting worksites, mess-rooms, boarding houses and families of workers to take warm care of their life. The film tells about historic facts that he, firmly believing in the working class and people of the DPRK, provided the leadership of patriotic dedication to make sure that Kanggye spirit was created. He also made a breakthrough in building a thriving nation by kindling the torches of Songgang and Ranam. The film deals with the dependable workers of the DPRK who fully displayed the stamina of heroic Korea in every annal of the revolution, remaining true to the leadership of Kim Jong Il. |
