Rodong Sinmun Accuses Lee Myung Bak of Creating Atmosphere of Hostility towards DPRK

Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- Traitor Lee Myung Bak of south Korea and his top-class stooges are setting afloat a rumor of "provocation by the north". Commenting on this, a news analyst of Rodong Sinmun Monday says: This is directly linked with the forthcoming "presidential election". Their acts are just motivated by their sinister attempt to make the south Korean people have hostility towards the DPRK and create the feelings of "insecurity" so as to justify the commitment made by the conservative forces to pursue the policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen. The political situation in south Korea with the approach of the "election" is characterized by fierce confrontation between the democratic forces and dictatorial ones and that between the forces supporting the June 15 joint declaration and those opposing it. The south Korean people's mindset is leaning to the forces supporting the declaration, the forces calling for democratic reform and the new political forces. They are fully determined to decisively punish the conservative ruling forces in the "election". It is quite natural because the south Korean people have harbored disillusion and had feelings of frustration during the fives years of nightmare-like sufferings. So the puppet group invented the rumor for the fear that they might fail in the "election". The groundless rumor is prompted by the sinister intention to brand the forces standing for democratic reform as the "forces against the security" in the "election". The group is calculating that creation of atmosphere of hostility towards compatriots in the north under the pretext of "security" will eventually make the democratic forces calling for the reconciliation, unity and cooperation with the north the "forces against the security" and will result in lower supporting rate. This can be invented only by the traitors staking their fate on the confrontation with compatriots. |
