Acid-Fast Bacteria Search Software Applied to Hospitals in DPRK

Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- The acid-fast bacteria search software, developed by the Mathematics Research Institute of the DPRK State Academy of Sciences, has been applied to some hospitals, including the Hamju County People's Hospital. Now the search is done by camera and computer, instead of microscope. The application markedly reduces search hour and ease visual fatigue. It ensures accuracy in diagnosis, making analysis of patients' condition. The software can detect over 95 percent of bacteria in human body and store data on 3 000 patients at one time. |
