Osieno Stephen, who was elected chairman of the remembrance committee, said that they called back on the sacred revolutionary life of Kim Jong Il and his undying exploits with the approach of the first anniversary of his demise.

"I am pleased with the fact that all things are going well in the DPRK under the wise leadership of H.E. Kim Jong Un and I wish the Korean people greater successes in building a thriving nation," he added.

Riyad Chaloub, secretary general of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of Guinea who is chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said at the inaugural meeting of the remembrance committee on Nov. 27 that the ideas and theories of Kim Jong Il are of great significance in encouraging the world socialist cause and global independence.

He expressed the will to widely introduce the great revolutionary life and immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the first anniversary of his demise and actively wage the movement for supporting the just cause of the fraternal Korean people who are hastening the building of a thriving nation under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
