On display in the venues of the events were photos of the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were works of the peerlessly great men and books and photos introducing Songun Korea.

The participants in the events paid highest tribute to Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the first anniversary of his demise.

The international secretary of the Communist Party of Peru (Red Motherland) said that Kim Jong Il authored a lot of famous works all his life, making great contributions to the development of the Korean and world revolutions.

Kim Jong Il was the great revolutionary and kind-hearted father who devoted his whole life to the people's happiness, he added.

The secretary general of the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship and other speakers referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il victoriously led the socialist cause and the cause of independence against imperialism with the might of Songun politics and turned the DPRK into a politico-ideological power and military power.

They expressed full support and solidarity with the army and people of the DPRK in their drive to build a thriving socialist nation and achieve national reunification under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Un.
