Rodong Sinmun Denounces Japanese Nuclear Ambition
|
|
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The representative of the Restoration Party of Japan asserted in a recent lecture that Japan may conduct a simulation test on a nuclear weapon as it may serve as deterrence and the like. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: The above-said reckless remarks made by the militaristic maniac ill-famed for his anachronistic and unreasonable way of thinking are nothing but a revelation of his wild nuclear ambition. Increasing day by day in Japan is the number of politicians and political parties that regard nuclear weaponization and access to nukes as a political mainstay for their existence and a political alternative for seizing power. The Japanese reactionaries are now becoming evermore undisguised in their nuclear ambition. In recent years they have talked about such hypothesis about "great upheaval" that the "Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between Japan and U.S." may collapse and taken dangerous moves to cope with it. The "Basic Law on Atomic Energy" revised in June last is a product of such sinister scenario. The present Japanese government formally stipulated in the law that "atomic energy contributes to national security." This is the first step forward made by Japan to legalize and formulate its nuclear weaponization and access to nukes. What is obvious is that Japan is now taking a wrong way. It is a defeated nation and was the first to suffer a nuclear disaster in the world. Had Japan followed right politics in the past, it would not have faced such disgraceful and tragic destiny. It is the lesson taught by history that the Japanese politicians should pursue right politics so that they may not throw their country and citizens into another abyss of ruin. Right politics and access to nukes can never go together in Japan. The Japanese politicians had better cool down their heads heated with reckless nuclear ambition and behave themselves. |
