The meeting was held to observe the 30th anniversary of the publication of leader Kim Jong Il's work "On Increasing Obedience to Socialist Laws" on December 15, 1982. It provides an important occasion in glorifying forever the immortal exploits the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu performed by laying a firm foundation for building the socialist law, and improving and strengthening the obedience to the socialist law to meet the fresh requirements of the developing revolution.

Present there were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, Ri Myong Su and other officials concerned, members of the Committee for Guidance in Socialist Law Observance at each level, judicial officers and model law explainers.

The historic letter sent by Kim Jong Il to the participants in the national meeting of judicial officers on February 28, 2007, was conveyed at the meeting.

A report was made by Yang Hyong Sop, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly. Then followed speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that the socialist law in the DPRK has demonstrated its might as law for patriotic devotion, law for protecting the Party, the leader, the country and its people and a powerful political weapon for building a thriving socialist nation under the wise leadership of the peerlessly great man.

They recalled that judicial officers have contributed to firmly defending the headquarters of the revolution in each annual of the arduous revolution and the socialist system, regarding the defence of the leader and policies as the most sacred duty and requirement of life.

They expressed their resolutions to bring about a new turn in the socialist law observance under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un and thus strictly establish a revolutionary legal order throughout society and provide a firm legal guarantee for the building of a thriving nation.
