Exploits of Kim Jong Suk Lauded in Nigeria

Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea posted on its Internet website an article titled "All life dedicated to women's emancipation" on Nov. 24 to mark the 95th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. Kim Jong Suk was an outstanding revolutionary who devoted all her life to the women's social emancipation and development of the women's movement, the article said, and went on: During the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule she called upon Korean women to struggle for the liberation of the country and women's emancipation. She took part in the anti-Japanese war from her early years and became famous as a woman commander of Mt. Paektu. Under her care a lot of Korean women grew to be excellent revolutionaries. After the liberation of Korea she actively helped President Kim Il Sung and aroused Korean women to the construction of new society. She performed great exploits for the development of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea. The great exploits of Kim Jong Suk for the emancipation of women and the development of women's movement are shining with the ever-victorious socialist Korea. |
