At the meeting, the speakers recalled that disabled people are now meeting death or undergoing sufferings without any help from their protectors.

This is a tragedy taking place due to the very poor system for the protection of disabled people under the present regime, they deplored.

Recalling that the sit-in strike of organizations of disabled people demanding the guarantee of their right to existence has been under way for more than 100 days, they urged the "government" and the "National Assembly" to take early relief measures.

At the end of the meeting, they staged a demonstration.
