Miroslav Stepan, chairman of the Czechoslovak Committee for Remembering Leader Kim Jong Il, said: Kim Jong Il carried forward the revolutionary cause of President Kim Il Sung, performing immortal feats in the efforts to accomplish the cause of socialism in the long period of leading the Korean revolution. He defended and further developed socialism with his Songun politics in the 1990's, in particular, when the imperialists went to extremes in their moves to stifle the DPRK. He thus instilled great confidence and courage into all of us. The speakers at the remembrance meeting in Bangladesh praised Kim Jong Il as an outstanding politician who developed in depth the Juche idea founded by Kim Il Sung and led the cause of global independence and the anti-imperialist struggle to victory through his Songun leadership. The DPRK could firmly defend the national sovereignty from all forms of sanctions and moves of the imperialists to stifle it thanks to his Songun politics, they added. |
