L. Shukolinikov, chairman of the Permanent Committee of the Belarus-DPRK National Friend Association Named after Kim Il Sung, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize diverse events, including remembrance meeting, seminar and lecture, and widely introduce the undying feats of Kim Jong Il through publications to mark the first anniversary of his demise.
