Kim Jong Il's Exploits Praised in Bulgaria

Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association released its bulletin No. 9 on Dec. 3 to mark the first anniversary of the demise of leader Kim Jong Il, the 21st anniversary of his assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the first anniversary of the dear respected Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the KPA.

The bulletin carried a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

In an article "First Anniversary of Demise of Comrade Kim Jong Il" the bulletin said he devoted all his life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of its people.

In another article titled "Kim Jong Il's Efforts for Reunification of Korea" the bulletin said:

Kim Jong Il made a bold decision to provide a summit between the north and the south which had been in the relationship of hostility and confrontation for more than half a century.

The north-south summit, the first of its kind in the history of the Korean nation, was held in June of 2000 and the June 15 joint declaration called milestone for the reunification of Korea was adopted.

Kim Jong Il provided another north-south summit in October of 2007 which culminated in the adoption of the October 4 declaration, a program for implementing the June 15 joint declaration.

The June 15 joint declaration, a permanent banner for Korea's reunification, and the October 4 declaration reinforce the Korean nation's will to achieve reunification.
