Important Days of DPRK Observed in Pakistan, Cambodia

| Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Diverse events took place in various countries on the occasion of the first anniversary of the demise of general secretary Kim Jong Il, the 21st anniversary of his assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the first anniversary of the dear respected Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the KPA. They included a lecture in Pakistan and a remembrance meeting, round-table talks and film show in Cambodia between Dec. 2 and 4. Films shown included Korean film "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation". Mohammad Aslam Nagi, secretary general of the Lahore Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, praised Kim Jong Il for developing the Workers' Party of Korea into President Kim Il Sung's party and turning the DPRK into a politico-ideological power and military power with his original Songun politics. Yos Son, chairman of the External Relations Commission of the People's Party of Cambodia and chairman of the Cambodia-Korea Friendship Association, said that Kim Jong Il was the father of the people who dedicated all his life to the prosperity of the country and the wellbeing of the people. The director of the Antri Miek Publishing House of Cambodia said the future of the DPRK is bright thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, who is creditably carrying forward the cause of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il. |
