Pro-U.S. Conservatives Accused of Their Ambition to Stay in Power
|

Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China on Dec. 7 issued a statement accusing the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors and other pro-U.S. conservative forces in south Korea of working hard to stay in power. The statement blasted Lee Myung Bak, wicked sycophant and traitor, and the "Saenuri Party" for frantically kicking up a "security" racket, raising a hue and cry over "provocation from the north" in the run-up to the "presidential election". It went on: Recently Lee blustered "the north may provoke any time." His outbursts were followed by the ruling party's cock-and-bull story that "the provocation should be strictly coped with" and that "genuine peace" can be ensured only by "security." The noisy ruckus kicked up by the south Korean regime over "provocation from the north" is aimed to label the DPRK "threatening" force and escalate the tension to extremes in a bid to create a security crisis in south Korea. Such row is closely linked with the forthcoming "presidential election." Absolutely unpardonable are the crimes committed by the Lee group over the last five years of its office. It has pursued acts of treachery and sycophancy in total breach of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration since it seized power. The above-said "security" racket is nothing but the last-ditch efforts of those in the grip of a crisis, strongly rebuffed and condemned by people of all social standings. All Koreans in China will unite close with all other compatriots in line with the north-south joint declarations and shatter the hypocritical "security" row of the Lee group and the pro-U.S. conservative forces. |
