A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-(Kyrgys El) Republican Political Party and chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Kyrgyzstan, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to hold diverse events praising Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits with the approach of the first anniversary of his demise.
