Kim Jong Il's Noble Personality (8)
Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- In the Central Botanical Garden in Pyongyang, there is a tropical fruit tree called "Psidium guajava".

It is a gift presented to general secretary Kim Jong Il by Dr. of political science of India Govind Narain Srivastava, secretary general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea. The tree is regarded by Indians as a symbol of longevity. Govind prepared the species, out of mind to repay Kim Jong Il's loving care for him and his family.

It was one day in July Juche 70 (1981) when Govind Narain Srivastava was returning home by air after visiting Pyongyang. In the plane he suddenly felt a severe pain in his stomach and fell into a comatose condition hours later. So he was carried to a hospital in a third country to undergo a surgical operation.

Upon hearing the fact, Kim Jong Il took a measure to dispatch competent doctors from the DPRK and sent tonics for recovery of his health. He also took a step to bring his son to him to comfort his loneliness in hospital.

Govind was deeply moved by such measures. He said he was blessed with loving care shown by Kim Jong Il, who was revered by all people in the world.
