Agricultural Workers Meet
Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- A taking-oath meeting of agricultural workers of the DPRK took place at the Migok Cooperative Farm in Sariwon City, North Hwanghae Province Wednesday on the occasion of the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Present there were Ri Yong Su, department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Ko In Uk, secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials of the union and agricultural workers.

The participants observed a moment's silence in the memory of Kim Jong Il.

A report was made by Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea. Then followed speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that the whole life of Kim Jong Il was the great one of a peerless patriot who devoted his all to successfully carrying out the cause of President Kim Il Sung under the uplifted red flag of revolution.

Kim Jong Il put forward the union as the devoted defender and active helper of the party and wisely led it so that it could successfully fulfill its mission and duty in each period and at each stage of the developing revolution, they noted.

They called upon all the agricultural workers to bring about a decisive turn in the agricultural production by applying Kim Jong Il's patriotism with great national pride of successfully launching the satellite with our own efforts and technology.
