Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- Figures of various circles and other people of Russia sincerely congratulate the DPRK on its latest space scientific and technological success, its successful launch of the second version of satellite Kwangmyongsong-3. Aleksandr Chetberikov, deputy to the State Duma of Russia, congratulated the DPRK on its successful launch of the second version of satellite Kwangmyongsong-3 for peaceful purposes. This is a striking demonstration of the DPRK's growing intellectual and economic potentials, he added. The editorial board of the Internet TV Krasnoe Televidenie posted an article titled "We extend congratulations to the people of the DPRK on its successful putting a satellite into its orbit!" Lyudmila Abzeyeva, writer belonging to the Russian Union of Writers, in her congratulatory letter said: I congratulate the friends of the DPRK on their successful launch of a satellite. This is a distinguished success of the DPRK which conjures up good memories of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, outstanding leaders of the DPRK. This reconfirmed the existing line to build socialism on the principle of Juche. Kiril Sborov, chairman of the Arkhangelsk Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy of Russia, noted in a statement that the launch of the satellite is the most exciting event which conjures up deep memory of Kim Jong Il who devoted his all to turning the DPRK into a modern space power. The Russian newspaper Nezabisimaya Gazetta on December 13 carried an article titled "The Juche idea has reached space". It went on: The DPRK launched a rocket with a satellite atop on December 12. Not a few countries urged the cancellation of the plan for the launch but the DPRK refused to change its line. The DPRK remains unfazed by the pressure of the international community which regards the launch of a rocket as a technological test for manufacturing a ballistic missile. Moreover, the DPRK in its answer given by a spokesman for its Foreign Ministry on December 12 declared that it would continue to exercise its legitimate right to launch satellites, no matter what others may say. Konstantin Asmolov, senior researcher at the Institute for Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in an interview with the newspaper said that the Korean people demonstrated that they have strength. |
