They laid bouquets before a full-length painting of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

Chairman of the committee Ibrahim Mantu said:

We keenly realize once again that Kim Jong Il was, indeed, a great man with the approach of the first anniversary of his demise.

He was a distinguished man who made great contributions to the prosperity of the country, the cause of the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and global peace and security with his great political philosophy and outstanding leadership.

Today the dear respected Kim Jong Un is reliably carrying forward Kim Jong Il's idea and leadership and leading to victory the Korean people in their efforts to defend the country's sovereignty and build a thriving nation.

We sincerely wish the Korean people successes in the work of attaining their goals in the future, too, under the outstanding leadership of Kim Jong Un.
