Shuhachi Inoue, former director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, stressed that the Juche idea is the idea of mankind that everyone the world over should follow though it came from Korea.

The Juche idea was studied and disseminated by individuals at the beginning and then in an organized way from the 1960s.

The first Juche idea study organization appeared in Mali in April 1969, and a large number of similar organizations came into being throughout the world since then.

In the half of the 1970s, the movement for study and dissemination of this idea was gaining momentum throughout the whole world. The International Institute of the Juche Idea was founded in April 1978.

At present there are many continental organizations and national committees for the study of the Juche idea and over 1 000 study groups in the world.

After their formation, international seminars on the Juche idea were held in real earnest. The 1980s witnessed 13 continental seminars and 100 odd national seminars in 36 countries. In 1990 when socialism was collapsed in some East European countries, there took place two international seminars, 200 odd joint seminars and 2 900 group seminars in different countries. The year 2000 saw more than 300 seminars in 40 countries.

The World Conference on the Juche Idea took place in Pyongyang to mark the 100th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung in 2012, at which the Pyongyang Declaration on the Conference was adopted.

Publications on the Juche Idea and leader Kim Jong Il's undying feats have been brought out in a massive way throughout the world. In many countries at present there are committees and printing houses for translating and publishing works of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

It has become a trend of the times to study and disseminate the Juche idea. This means an expression of the world progressives' absolute trust and deep reverence for Kim Jong Il, a great philosopher who enriched this idea.
