The DPRK launched the second version of Kwangmyongsong-3 at the Sohae Space Center in Cholsan County, North Phyongan Province and accurately put it into its target orbit at 09:59:13, 9 minutes and 27 seconds after the lift-off, the article said.

The satellite was launched by carrier rocket Unha-3, it noted.

Many countries of the world are developing space but there are not many countries which develop it solely with their own technology as the DPRK does, it said.

The successful satellite launch will help lift the economic status of the DPRK in the world, it stressed.
