Russian Papers Laud Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Russian papers carried special write-ups on the 1st anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The 46th issue of Patriot devoted several pages to articles in praise of his exploits with his smiling portrait and photos documenting his revolutionary activities.

An article "A Life Dedicated to the People" said he made devoted efforts for the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.

Another article titled "Great Idea and Feats Will Be Immortal" illustrated with photos showing the memorial ceremonies last year said that the legacy left by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il is a valuable property for the world progressives struggling for independence as well as the Korean people.

Though Kim Jong Il passed away, his cause has been invariably carried forward, it said.

Three whole pages of the paper carried a poem "In Praise of Feats of Great Men" created by a Russian and photos showing pamphlet works of Kim Jong Il with an inscription reading "Ideological Banner Guiding the Present Era".

An internet paper on Dec. 11 posted some articles including "Comrade Kim Jong Il Was a Great Thinker and Theoretician" and "Comrade Kim Jong Il Provided a Bright Future for Korea's Reunification" under the headline of "Leader of DPRK Kim Jong Il Will Be Immortal" with his smiling portrait.
