His sudden demise was the greatest loss not only to the Korean people but to world revolutionary people and followers of the Juche idea and Songun idea, the statement said, and went on:

His heart stopped beating but he lives in the hearts of humankind.

It is an expression of boundless reverence of the Korean people for Kim Jong Il that they are holding him forever in high esteem as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.

The statement praised him for developing the WPK into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung and making the DPRK a full-fledged nuclear weapons state, adding:

He wisely led the world people's cause of independence against imperialism.

His famous works serve as a compass indicating the road to be followed by the world revolutionary people aspiring after socialism.

He was lauded by the world people as the staunch defender of socialism and independence.

The revolutionary cause of Juche which was pioneered by Kim Il Sung and developed by Kim Jong Il will be successfully accomplished by the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
