U.S. and S. Korean Regime's Attempt at Preemptive Nuclear Attack on DPRK Exposed
|

Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and the south Korean authorities are not hiding their attempt at a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK. Some days ago, a drill for the "use of extended deterrent means" in which the "north's nuclear threat" was regarded as the "target of deterrence" was held in New Mexico State. This was, in fact, a nuclear war exercise aimed at attacking the DPRK with all military means of the U.S. and south Korea involved according to various scenarios, says Minju Joson Sunday in a bylined commentary. This open exercise can never be pardoned as it is a grave military provocation against the DPRK, the commentary notes, and goes on: A nuclear threat comes from the south, not from the north, on the Korean Peninsula. It was not the first time that the U.S. and south Korea staged the similar drill. The recent drill was staged with main stress on bolstering "deterrence tailored" to different situations in line with various "scenarios in the event of nuclear crisis". We cannot but take a serious note of the fact that the drill was orchestrated by the assistant secretary for nuclear and missile and the advisor to policy of the Asia-Pacific region of the U.S. Defense Department, the chief of the policy room of the south Korean "Ministry of Defense" and other incumbent policy-makers. This proves that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime are pushing ahead with the policy of preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK. The drill is entailing dangerous consequences of leading the situation not only in the Korean Peninsula but in the region to the brink of war. The DPRK will never remain a passive onlooker at the undisguised attempt at preemptive nuclear attack on it. |
