In 100 days of mourning alone, at least 3 560 literary works were created by people, including servicepersons and school youth and children.

More than 2 660 poems and songs created in the period include monody "To the Bier of the Great Comrade Kim Jong Il", lengthy poem "The History of the General Will Continue Forever" and song "The General Will Live Forever as the Sun".

There are also such books as lengthy novel "Mt. Osong", collections of works "The Sun of Songun Is Immortal" and "He Is Always with Us" and memorial legendry "Whole Country Is Weeping" and "Mt. Paektu Roars".

All those literary works speak highly of the great feats performed by Kim Jong Il with his superhuman energies for the country and the people. And they also show the Korean army and people's will to hold him in high esteem as the eternal sun of Songun.

Meanwhile, given in praise of him were such art performances as New Year Concert by the Unhasu Orchestra "The Cause of the Sun Will Be Immortal" and Grand Performance Marking the Day of the Shining Star "We Will Be Loyal Down through Generations."

Mass media including TV almost every day dealt with hymns reflecting all the people's deep reverence for Kim Jong Il as well as their wish for his immortality.

The Korean people's deep yearning for the leader was also displayed at this year's newly-adapted grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang".

Singing the hymns dedicated to him, all the Korean people will advance dynamically toward the final victory under the slogan "The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will always be with us".
