The one year since the greatest loss to the nation was a period in which the hearts of the Koreans in Japan have burnt with intense loyalty to make a report with pleasure to Kim Jong Il which they failed to do during his lifetime, honoring the memory of him with the humblest reverence, the letter noted, adding:

Kim Jong Il, who inherited the Juche cause of revolution pioneered by President Kim Il Sung, represented the destiny of Juche Korea as he performed undying exploits for the country and nation before the era and history for decades and carried forward and developed the pure bloodline of Mt. Paektu, giving continuity to the lifeline of the Korean revolution.

Kim Jong Il was a peerlessly brilliant commander of Songun and a rare political elder as he pursued unique Songun politics during the most difficult days when the imperialist allied forces became desperate in their offensive to stifle the DPRK after the demise of the President, the greatest loss to the nation. He defended Juche-oriented socialism, the precious legacy left by the President, turning the country into a politico-ideological power with single-minded unity and into an invincible military power with nuclear weapons, which no enemy dares provoke, and providing eternal foundations for the Korean people to live as independent people generation after generation.

He was an outstanding leader of the Juche-oriented movement of Koreans in Japan and a very kind-hearted father of the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

Indeed, Generalissimo Kim Jong Il is always alive in the hearts of the Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan as the sun of Juche and father of the nation.

We will thoroughly embody Kim Jong Il's patriotism to render services for bringing earlier the independent national reunification and make a tangible contribution to building an economic power and improving the people's living standard in the homeland for which Kim Jong Il worked heart and soul till the last moments of his life.
