Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- Minjok Thongsin, an internet paper of Koreans in the U.S., on December 3 carried an article contributed by Sonu Hak Won. Sonu wrote the article after reading leader Kim Jong Il's work "Theory of Cinematic Art". The article said: The DPRK regards films as one form of mass education and directs great efforts into the field based on Kim Jong Il's work. Sonu said he noticed Kim Jong Il's outstanding theory of the art while reading his work, adding: In the work Kim Jong Il defined literature as humanics, adding that humanics should put forward the issues of independence and independent human being and create genuine human being in the new era so as to transform whole society as demanded by Juche. He developed the theory of cinematic art involving cinema and production, character and actor, image and shooting, screen and the arts, scene and music, art and creation and creation and guidance. His theory of cinematic art is based on the literature and the art created by President Kim Il Sung in the period of the anti-Japanese struggle. The President realized that the literature and the art are an important weapon for the revolutionary struggle and conducted creative activities while waging battles. This served as the basic principle of creating Korea's literature and art after its liberation. His work holds an important position in the history of human literature and art in embodying the President's idea on literature and art. |
