He was always short of time and Sunday was not a holiday for him. So, his journey of field guidance continued without letup even on Sundays.

On November 3, 1974, he toured various establishments in South Hwanghae Province, covering 328 kilometers of journey. He also gave guidance to 13 units in two provinces on March 16, 1975, and to the Anbyon Youth Power Station ready to open, covering 400 kilometers of journey, on September 15, 1996. On November 24, 1996, he visited the Panmunjom Mission of the Korean People's Army.

It was also on Sundays that he made inspection tours of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tanks Division of the KPA and a women's coast artillery company.

Among those units to which he gave field guidance on Sundays were the Chonsam Co-op Farm in Anbyon County, Sinchang Fish Farm, Central Zoo, Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory, February 8 Vinalon Complex, Ryongsong Machine Complex, the 2nd Commodity Exhibition which took place at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1, Amusement Park in Kaeson Youth Park and the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm.
