For five years of Lee Myung Bak's office the people have groaned, denied even elementary democracy and the right to existence.

From the very day the Lee Myung Bak forces came to power, they have suppressed the progressive forces by dint of dictatorial power, denied the south-north joint declarations and barred the people from sleeping in peace even a day through war exercises.

If "the Saenuri Party" having its roots in the "yusin" dictatorship is allowed to stay in power, it will bring a disaster to the people and mean an uncontrollable retreat of history.

The statement stressed the need for all the progressive forces to pool their strength and wisdom and carry on their dynamic actions at full strain till they bring about a regime change.
