Kim Jong Il Remembered in Different Countries
Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries to mark the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Remembrance meeting, photo exhibition and film show were held in the Czech Republic, seminar in Italy, lecture in Democratic Congo and round-table talks and film show in Myanmar between Dec. 7 and 8.

The chief secretary of the Litomerice County Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party paid high tribute to Kim Jong Il and said:

Kim Jong Il was deeply revered by the Korean people as he dedicated himself to them.

The tears shed by the Korean people when bidding last farewell to him were an expression of children's grief over the loss of their father.

I wish the Korean people success in their efforts to carry out his behests.

The chief of the Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism Study Group in Fermo of Italy praised Kim Jong Il's exploits performed in the party building. He turned the DPRK into a full-fledged military power and a nuclear weapons state under the banner of Songun, the chief added.

The coordinator of the Association for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism of Democratic Congo said that the exploits performed by Kim Jong Il for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence would shine forever.

The general director for Administrative Affairs of the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited said that mankind misses very much Kim Jong Il who devoted his all to the country's prosperity, the people's happiness and the global peace and stability.
