Successful Satellite Launch Meaningful for Korean People
Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- The successful launch of Kwangmyongsong 3-2, an earth observation satellite, takes on an important meaning for the Korean people.

Ko Kyu U, a teacher at the University of National Economy, told KCNA:

"The DPRK will soon see in the year 2013 marking the diamond anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953). The liftoff of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 is greatly encouraging its people who have pushed ahead with the building of a thriving nation to significantly greet the next year.

The successful launch represents a symbol of justice and victory."

After attending an army-people rally held in North Hamgyong Province to hail the successful satellite launch, So Tok Il, an officer of the Korean People's Army, said:

"The launch goes to prove that any attempt to lay hurdles to the DPRK's progress will face failure.

It demonstrated the nation's strength as well as the might of the Songun (military-first) politics.

Inspired by it, I will put spurs to making full combat preparations."

Myong Sung Hui, a work-team head of the Kumsan Co-op Farm in Cholsan County, North Phyongan Province, said:

"With the Sohae Space Center, Cholsan has become famous in the world. It is likely that the successful satellite launch will further promote the economic progress in the country.

I will work harder to contribute to increasing the agricultural production."
