Minju Joson Hits Japan-U.S. Military Nexus

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- A joint map exercise of the Ground Self-Defence Force of Japan and the U.S. Army was staged recently in Sendai where the former is stationed under the simulated conditions of "contingency in Japan." Minju Joson Thursday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: There were frequent joint military exercises of various forms between the SDF and the U.S. forces recently and every time they claimed the exercises were aimed at bolstering up "integrated defence capability". This is nothing but sophism to cover up the real purpose hidden behind the scenario to tighten the Japan-U.S. military nexus. They are busy staging those military drills, straining the situation in the region neither because of any military threat from someone nor because of any need to cope with "instability". It is the scenario of the U.S. to beef up its military muscle in order to elbow its potential rivals and strategic competitors in the Asia-Pacific region and establish its unchallenged domination over the region and, at the same time, get its allies deeply involved in the scenario. Japan is showing its unusual zeal to please the U.S. In case Japan sets about forming a military alliance with the U.S. and Asia-Pacific countries, it will have pretexts for drastically expanding the sphere of operations of SDF and taking part in the overseas war of aggression. This goes to prove that various forms of joint military drills with the U.S. and tightened military nexus with other foreign armed forces are not for defence, but for attack, in other words, for overseas aggression. Japan is set to offer its whole territory as a theatre of war if it is required for attaining its military objective. It is obvious that Japan seeks interests in a war. However, the war is nothing beneficial to Japan but will bring it only catastrophic consequences, warns the commentary. |
