Those events included remembrance meeting, Kimjongilia show, book and photo exhibition, film show and book, photo and fine art exhibition.

Displayed in the venues of their opening ceremonies were photos of the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were Korean books including works of the peerlessly great men, Kimjongilia flowers and photos and fine art pieces showing the time-honored history of the Korean nation and its shining culture.

Films shown included "I Will Glorify Korea", Part 1 of Korean film "The Sun of Songun Shedding Its Rays All over the World".

The participants in the events laid floral baskets and bouquets before portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them.

Safwan Koudsi, general secretary of the Syrian Arab Socialist Union Party, in a speech praised Kim Jong Il as the most prominent anti-imperialist fighter and great saint who fought against the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the imperialists in order to achieve the freedom and liberation of the people in developing countries.

E. Maksim, executive chairman of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, in his speech paid tribute to Kim Jong Il. He praised Kim Jong Il as a great master of politics who led the Korean revolution to victory.

S. N. Sserwanga, secretary general of the African Regional Committee of Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, said Kim Jong Il was an outstanding leader of not only the Korean people but also the world progressives.

The deputy secretary of the Khabarovsk Regional Political Council of the United Russia Party and the acting representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Khabarovsk said Kim Jong Il was a great man who conducted energetic activities for the improvement of the Russia-DPRK friendly relations. They expressed belief that the friendly relations between the two countries would grow stronger in the future.
