The Cambodian newspaper Kmae Amata carried an article titled "Political elder" under the heading of "On the occasion of the first anniversary of passing of HE Generalissimo Kim Jong Il", illustrated with his photo.

The article said:

Kim Jong Il overcame all sorts of difficulties by dint of ideology and led socialist Korea along the road of one victory after another.

Peace and stability could be ensured not only on the Korean Peninsula but in the rest of Northeast Asia as he formulated the Songun politics as a main political mode under socialism and bolstered up the defence capability to the maximum.

The Indian newspaper Defence and Humanity carried articles titled "Legacy of leader Kim Jong Il" and "Traces of devotion", illustrated with his photo.

The paper introduced in detail that he glorified the Juche idea as permanent guiding idea in the era of independence and developed the Workers' Party of Korea into an ever-victorious guiding force and the KPA into an invincible army.

The Uruguayan newspaper La Juventud devoted its one whole page to an article titled "Kim Jong Il's patriotism", illustrated with his smiling portrait.

It reported that Kim Jong Il's patriotism, valuable mental heritage bequeathed by him encourages the Korean people to take the genuine road of patriotism.
