DPRK's Important Days Celebrated by Foreign Crewmen

| Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- A meeting of foreign crewmen was held at Hungnam Port on Saturday to celebrate the 21st anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 95th anniversary of birth of anti-Japanese woman hero Kim Jong Suk. Before the meeting, they paid floral tribute to statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in Hamhung City. Present at the meeting were the captain and crewmen of a Panamanian-flagged ship. Speeches were made there. The speakers said they were looking back with deep emotion on the revolutionary life of the great persons of Mt. Paektu on the above-said occasion. The Korean people are achieving great successes in building a thriving socialist nation, rallied close behind the dear respected Kim Jong Un, true to the behests of Kim Jong Il, they added. They expressed belief that only victory and glory are in store for the Korean people advancing with confidence and optimism. A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting. |
